School's History

Veterans Park Elementary, which opened in 1997, has a tradition of excellence because of our high expectations for all our students, innovative staff and award-winning PTA. Our curriculum is based on the state standards and is implemented through a multitude of hands-on, cutting-edge instructional strategies to keep students motivated and excited about learning. We focus on each individual child and find that every staff member has a "whatever it takes" attitude in assuring success for all of our students.

We also realize it's not the staff working alone that makes a difference with our students. It is only when everyone involved - families, community, students, teachers and staff - all work together that we can truly accomplish great things.
